HEADLINES: Saving Money, Gazebo SOS!, Prayers for "Go for
Gold!", Multimedia on Church Website
+-----------------------------+-----------------------------+
"Some children were brought to Jesus so he could lay his
hands on them and pray for them. The disciples told them not
to bother him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.
Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such
as these.” And he put his hands on their heads and blessed
them before he left."
Matthew 19:13-15

><> Save money by Jill Ewbank
+-----------------------------+-----------------------------+
In the Bible Society's magazine a while ago there was an
article about switching electricity / gas suppliers, saving
money on your bills & getting a gift for the Bible Society.
Apparently it's a government approved website (presumably
that's thought to be a good thing !) - the address is
http://www.switchandgive.com/biblesociety, or phone
0845 0840 300 quoting Bible Society. It also offers the
opportunity to save on business energy bills & suggests that
churches could save 10-20% - phone no is 0870 9220353.
You editor adds:
Another possibility is a company called "Good Energy" which
produces electricity through 100% renewable and sustainable
methods. Good Energy will donate £10 to Tearfund when you
sign on, and a further £10 if you are still a customer in a
year. Call to 0845 4561650; email enquiries@good-energy.co.uk
or visit http://www.good-energy.co.uk/ - Quote UE38 for
Tearfund to get the donation! See http://snipurl.com/7ew3 for
further information.
Finally, to cut down on your junk mail and telephone calls,
register through the following websites:
http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/ and http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/
It is unlawful for companies to contact you once you have
registered through these services.
