    Building on the success of previous years' Holiday Clubs,
    another exciting week of activities - every morning from
    9.30am-12pm at Wheatley Primary School between August 21st
    (Monday) to 25th (Friday). Children aged 5-12 will have an
    opportunity to enjoy crafts, drama, games and songs, joining
    in an expedition up to the mountain for exciting adventures.

    Specific Prayer requests:
    ><> Please give thanks for those who have committed to help
        to help with security & registration and that there are
        others considering  - please pray for them as they ask
        the Lord for his guidance regarding their roles.
    ><> We urgently need more group leaders for 10-12 age group.
        Please ask the Lord to answer this need.
    ><> Much of the publicity literature has been prepared
        without the overtly Christian strapline that was
        intended. Please pray that it will be possible to add
        “Xploring God’s Way” on enough of the information for it
        to be clear to all involved.
    ><> For the programme coordinators and group leaders – that
        the Lord will inspire them – He knows who will be in
        their groups & what would be appropriate for them.
    ><> Pray that creative ideas continue to flow !
    ><> Pray that the community will be happy to see a club
        happening again and will want to support it.
    ><> For good relationships with all at the school,
        particularly Joan, the new head teacher, that they will
        see what we are doing and feel able to be really positive
        about it.

    ><> Wheatley Film Club by Annie Hughes

    Annie has had the vision to start a group for 20s-40s
    christian people in and around Wheatley. Watching a film and
    then discussing it over a drink and nibbles seemed a good
    basis for the meetings, so a group went to see "The Da Vinci
    Code" at the cinema in early June, followed a couple of weeks
    later by a DVD viewing of Kevin Smith's Dogma.
 
    We are still getting to know each other, and anyone in their
    20s-40s would be very welcome to join us. If you would like

    It's a registered financial co-operative, owned & operated by
    its members. Unlike the banks, it is open to anyone who meets
    the membership criteria - in this case, to live and/or work
    in Oxford City, there are no shareholders & all profits are
    returned to the members. If you live and/or work in Oxford,
    please do consider supporting this important initiative
    becoming a member. Volunteers are also needed to help in the
    running of the credit union - so those with a little time
